WOW event FAQ

Where can I get food & drinks during the event?

  • There will be breakfast and evening dinner buffet available on the local campsite for reasonable pricing.

  • There is a tiny supermarket, baker and butcher in the local Oignies town.

  • There are a few restaurants in Oignies town where you can enjoy local food.

  • Small snacks are available at Wanyi Park.

  • There is a Wany bar and a Skrrrt bar on site.

Is there food and drinks included in the race ticket?

    • The race ticket includes a typical Belgian style lunch on Saturday at Wanyi park and 3 booze tickets.

Is there food included in the training camp price?

    • No, you will have to provide your own or enjoy the local offer as mentioned in FAQ 1.

Can we cook our own meals while camping?

    • Gas burners and BBQ’s are allowed on the campsite.

Is the Monday to Friday camping included in the training camp?

    • Yes, there is a basic camping package included (park your tent or van).


Is the weekend camping included in the race ticket?

    • No, you will have to book the camping separately for the race weekend (basic package 30€ or upgrade).


How do I book the camping upgrade?

    • Tick the camping upgrade box in the Google form and you will get an overview of the available camping upgrades with pricing.


Where do we check in for the camping?

    • Check in at the local campsite building for registration and the camping host will assign you and your friends a camping spot. If you booked a camping upgrade, please notify the camping host.


Where can I take a shower?

    • There are showers and toilets at the campsite 100m from Wanyi park. In some of the upgrade packages there is a private bathroom available.


How late does the ROAR OF THE BOAR freestyle competition start?

    • The freestyle event will start at 14h00 CET in the Wanyi Park. 


When & where do we check in for the Saturday Onewheel race?

    • You can check in between 08h30 and 09h30 CET in the bar of the Wanyi Park on top of the slope. The race will start at 10h00 CET.


Do I need a ticket for the ROAR OF THE BOAR competition?

    • Yes, you need a ROAR OF THE BOAR ticket to join the Freestyle and/or the Chair Race competition on Sunday. You do need to register via the Google form.


Do I need a ticket for the THRILL DRILL challenges?

    • The Friday competition is free for all. We will set up different challenges and races where everyone can compete.


Is this event family friendly?

    • Of course. We love families and how Onewheel brings together people of all ages. There will be enough space for those who want to be located a little further from the race. Explore your options upon arrival. 


How do I charge the Onewheel?

    • We will have two charging hubs at Wanyi Park where you can charge your boards. Do bring your own charger and mark it clearly so it doesn’t get lost.


What Onewheel can I race?

    • All Onewheels are allowed to race in the WOW event.


Can I enter another PEV that's not a Onewheel to the event? 

    • At the moment only Onewheels are allowed to enter the WOW event.


What is required to race?

    • All racers are required to wear a helmet and wrist guards or gloves during races.

    • All racers with a registered 2024 WOW race ticket are eligible for insurance. Registration is mandatory to race. The registration form is available at check in.

    • Participants may register for and participate in multiple activities, or races over the course of the event. 

    • Participants must use their personal boards for all race events.

    • Alcohol consumption for participants is allowed at your own risk. Any racer suspected of intoxication will lose eligibility for insurance.


What is the European Onewheel League? 

    • The European Onewheel League has been created by the organizers of Europe’s Premiere Onewheel events to enable riders to compete against each other at multiple events at an international level.

      The League will enable us to crown the best riders in Europe! The top 16 male and 8 female riders will be invited to the European Onewheel Championship in Portugal in October.
